Cow Chop is a channel on YouTube that hosted Let's Plays with live-action skits, The 'CCTV Podcast', and other various content, which was founded by a group of content creators who split from The Creatures.
History
The channel originated as a split from The Creatures by: James "UberHaxorNova" Wilson and Aleks "ImmortalHD" Marchant. Trevor “Modest Cube” Schmidty II, Aron "Stalete/StaleRender", and Joe Vitrano also followed to Cow Chop from The Creatures.
Cow Chop House
From April 2016 to February 2017, Cow Chop was filmed and produced at a home in Colorado James rented. The crew generally trashed the house but after the video ALEKS EPIC MILITARY GRADE STINK BOMB PRANK was released, an anonymous viewer tipped off the property manager. Citing illegal activities and extensive property damage, Cow Chop was evicted from the home by the property manager, regardless of the fact that they repaired any damage they did.[1]
For a few days after, Cow Chop was recorded at James's home.[2]
The Barn
From February 2017 to April 2017, the crew rented a Barn to make videos in, which turned out to be cheap because it used to be a meth lab. [3]
Warehouse Era
From April 2017 until December 2019, Cow Chop operated out of a warehouse in Los Angeles. Aron left the channel because he didn't want to move. On the other hand, Lindsey, Jakob and Alec joined as full time employees.
Closure
On March 18, 2019, immediately following James' departure, Cow Chop published a video promising to continue Cow Chop's productions until all contractual obligations until sometime around the end of 2019.[4] On December 31, 2019, Cow Chop uploaded its last video, “THE FINAL INTERVIEW”.
